Making a Terrarium

Aim:

I want to build a terrarium

Method:

Equipment

  • Jar or plastic bottle to put your stuff into or you could use a can for a mini version.
  • Water.
  • Small rocks, pebbles or gravel you can find anywhere.
  • Put soil or dirt for you terrarium.
  • Plants to grow in your terrarium.

Instructions:

  1. Get your equipment ready for your terrarium.
  2. put your rocks or pebbles in so the water can go to the bottom of the jar and if you can put insects in if you wanted to.
  3. Get out your thing for your terrarium you used for your terrarium and put dirt, soil and plants in.
  4. put moss or grass into your terrarium
  5. Spray  water in your terrarium for your plants to grow

Discussion:

For my terrarium i did a group project we put rocks at the bottom to help prevent moisture in the soil we also put a layer of soil for our worms to live in our terrarium and we also but a bean plant in to make it look more better and we put some grass in to grow.

is it possible for a terrarium to have a living ecosystem in it? yes terrariums can be possible to live in open and close spaces because all they need is water, plants and light to grow and then you could have a living ecosystem
