St Patrick’s day

st Patrick’s day is the feast day of st. Patrick’s, a patron saint of Ireland. Originally celebrated with religious feasts and services, St Patrick’s day became a secular celebration of Irish culture when it reached the United States alongside Irish immigrants. And St.Patrick’s Day observes of the death of St. Patrick, The holiday has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking and a whole lot of green. and  St, Patrick arrived in Ireland in 433 and began preaching the Gospel, converting many thousands of Irish and building churches around the country. After 40 years of living in poverty, teaching, travelling and working tirelessly, Patrick died on March 17, 461 in Saul, where he had built his first church.

Athletics and hockey

In athletics we have been doing long jump, discus, shot put and sprints. I did well in long jump and sprints. It was pretty cool seeing my friends do athletics and it was fun doing it. All year 7 and 8 boys and girls took turns doing each athletics. In PE we have been practising athletics. We have been running around the field but it was fun when we practices discus because we got to throw a discus at the same time as well. My favourite sport is sprints because it was really fun running to the end and seeing my friends run.

Hockey

In PE i have been doing hockey and i have got a bit better at stopping the ball and saying my classmates names to give me the ball. In the last hockey game of the term I scored 2 goals which was cool. At the first time we had hockey we practices shuffling the ball and passing to each other. The last hockey period was on 14/3/22. So we will not be playing it again but another sport will be something. I hope you like it
